"I’m a proud member of the organization Veterans in Media and Entertainment.  Several years ago Director Judd Apatow contacted the organization in an effort to hire military service members on a series he was working on for HBO.  The show was called Crashing and for 3 seasons I had the honor of working as a Craft Service assistant.  I’m so grateful for that opportunity because I developed a new skill set and learned so much about the film industry."

"Second Chapter:  This is what I’m calling the current years of my life."

Jacqueline Ball

I spent 20 years in the military. My enlistment beginning in Washington, DC and retirement taking place in beautiful Newport, Rhode Island.  My military training plays a huge part of my life and career as an actor, helping me develop my skill set of organization, preparation, time management and of course leadership.

I’ve always loved school and the learning process.  The military gave me the opportunity to obtain a journalism degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.  I could not get enough of the college environment and went on to enroll in The George Washington University in Washington, DC.  I earned a bachelor’s degree in business.

Upon retiring from the military l began taking classes in Simmons College in Boston, where I received a Master’s degree in Library Science.

I’m a proud member of the organization Veterans in Media and Entertainment.  Several years ago Director Judd Apatow contacted the organization in an effort to hire military service members on a series he was working on for HBO.  The show was called Crashing and for 3 seasons I had the honor of working as a Craft Service assistant.  I’m so grateful for that opportunity because I developed a new skill set and learned so much about the film industry.

Self care is a new buzz work these days, so if I had to talk about a ritual.  I would say, for me, it is music.  I believe music is a gift to the planet.  I’m so glad I live in a time when we can create musical playlists on our smart phones.  We can download anything from classical to rhythm and blues, and I love listening on my bluetooth headphones.
